Linear Form-Isabel Ortigoza

This linear form was created by sculptor John Luebtow of Chatsworth, CA. It is untitled and is one inch thick. It is made of glass, a stainless base, and a steel I-beam. The texture and movement of the glass mimics the flow of water, and the visual limits set by the I-beam rebounds the limits set by the glass (rivers) edge. With the glass being see through, it in a way allows negative space because you can see right through it. One's eyes easily follow the lines of the river as it goes down, or up, however you look at it. I also feel that this sculpture is balanced, having the I-beam on both sides as architectural support allows the glass river to stay vertically up.
