Linear Form-Mulloy

This is a image of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge located in St. Petersburg Florida. The bridge was designed by Figg and Muller Engineering Group. The bridge is very interesting to look at, and expresses many of the elements and principles of art. Negative space is shown in-between each line like shape and is especially present in the middle of the figure, which could also be considered the focal point. The principle of movement is seen as your eyes tend to follow the lines of the object, and there is also balance, because each side of the figure is equal. The texture of the form seems to be a smooth wire like texture that is clearly extremely heavy duty. Value is expressed with the shadow of the bridge onto the water.
